In 1997, Coach Charles Collins, a wide receiver coach and former Canadian Football League wide receiver, sharpened his coaching techniques while training athletes in the off-season at a local park. He matured these techniques using advice from former All-Pro James Lofton. Not long after, others noticed the benefits of Coach Collins’s training techniques. News spread about the success that athletes had gained from Coach Collins’s workouts. “The Factory” was born. As he worked his players through a series of cone drills, one parent would later say, “Coach Collins runs a phenomenal camp!” Using this term, Coach Collins incorporated the Phenom Factory on November 20, 2002 in Los Angeles, California. Phenom Factory has established itself as the foremost off-season training camp. Coach C, as his players call him, emphasizes basics, discipline, strength, conditioning, agility and skills for the individual player’s position. These lay the foundation for player growth and success, both on and off the playing field. His players range in age and come from youth, college and the National Football League levels. Phenom Factory develops and refines skills to meet the needs of today’s athletes. Its commitment to work ethic has created many champions. The training camp’s success has lead to our motto, “Off-season sweat creates a game time threat!” Phenom Factory not only gives athletes skills for the playing field, but also offers them appropriate equipment. To protect his players, Coach Collins designed the “Hit Proof” compression suit integrating lightweight padding into a single micro-fiber suit. The first of its kind, this one-piece, one-pound suit provides both mobility and protection. Phenom Factory develops and distributes performance gear and accessories. We will also expand the training camp to offer a state-of-the-art athletic training facility.
